Weekends with 2nd Take

by Lee Williams

A slightly different take on weekends…

It’s stunning weekend weather in Cape Town! We have all waited long for warmer days – and now that they are upon us, we want to take full advantage! Grab your friends and get out of the house. 2nd Take will show you how to best use your time this weekend!

 14 September 2012 - Cape Town - Weekends with 2nd Take

If you love culture

Don your finest lederhosen and head down to The Newlands Brewery Village Green this weekend for a Bavarian festival that guarantees merriment for all. Enjoy the best Eisbein, pretzels and sauerkraut in the city and wash it down with litres of delicious local and imported beer. If this peaks your interest, visit The official Bierfest Website for a charming way to gain more information!

If you love the outdoors:

For the best seats underneath the sun, take a drive to any one of the amazing South African National Parks this weekend, completely free of charge! There are 5 reserves in the Cape that you can visit, so take note of the free days and get your picnic basket ready! The Agulhas National Park and the West Coast National Park are both free of charge today (Friday), the Table Mountain National Park is free until Saturday, and both the Tankwa National Park and the Bontebok National Park are free until Sunday. We can’t thank them enough for this amazing initiative! For more information, visit the South African National Parks Website here

If you love Rock ‘n Roll:

Mercury live and The Shack (located at 43 De Villiers Street) are kicking off your Weekend Party with the first Rolling Stone Weekend. Expect to see the freshest, up and coming acts around! The party kicks of at 6pm on Friday, so get there before it fills up! Visit Rolling Stone for more information.

We hope you have an amazing weekend!
