Amazing designer gowns seen at the Mandela movie premiere

The much anticipated and long-awaited ‘Long walk to Freedom’ movie is finally ready to be released. The film is based on the autobiography of the famous former President Nelson Mandela. The movie will be released on the 28th of November in South African cinemas. 2nd Take is here to give you the latest news of the upcoming movie release.

The main actors for the film are two famous British film stars, 41 year old Idris Elba plays Nelson Mandela and the beautiful 37 year old Naomie Harris plays Winnie Mandela. The  talented Terry Pheto plays Evelyn in the film as well. It is so inspiring to see South African actors making it big internationally and making South Africans so proud. Over the past month the cast members have been traveling the world promoting the film in varies countries. When traveling around for premieres actors tend to go all out when picking the designers for the Red Carpet events. For this film the cast members went all out and as the expression goes “dressed to kill”.

The ever so gorgeous Naomie Harris wore a dazzling, beautiful gold and cream designer Donna Karan Atelier gown to the Johannesburg Premiere. Whilst Terry Pheto looked stunning at the Toronto Film Festival in a black, print designer dress by Marianne Fassler. Idris Elba looked handsome at the Toronto Film Festival in a fitted black suit with a navy blue and black sneakers, proving that you can still be smart casual on the Red Carpet.
