Fashion and Franchise News – 2nd Take Review

This week at 2nd Take – Fashion and Franchise News

2nd Take takes a 2nd look at our last week.

We started our week with an inspirational fashion quote by Emma Watson.

“There’s nothing interesting about looking perfect, you lose the point. You want what you’re wearing to say something about you, about who you are.”

We also looked at the best winter fashion and showcased essential winter fashion staples, winter coats and winter boots.

From runway to street style, red carpet collections, celebrity inspired looks, who wore it best comparisons and of course our 2nd Take Look of the Week.

First we decided on this stunning look of the week

All items were chosen by our fashion team and are available at our 2nd Take store or online

Look of the week

Celebrity inspired looks – coat and boots!

Taylor Swift, an American singer and actress, appeared preppy chic, sporting a bright red pea-coat, khaki skinny jeans, and dark brown knee high leather boots with chunky heels.

The Blank Space crooner paired her pieces with a black vintage inspired handbag and showed off a scarlet manicure to match her outerwear.

We love the entire outfit!

The Fendi Fur Coat that cost more than your average apartment!

When Karl Lagerfeld sent 36 outrageously luxurious fur pieces down the Fendi Haute Fourrure catwalk last week he inspired equal measures of shock and applause.

Shock, from anti-fur protesters who objected to the slaughter of fox, mink, and Persian lamb for the sake of fashion, and applause from fashion insiders and loyal Fendi customers who praised his bold move and longevity as he simultaneously celebrated 50 years at the helm of the Italian fashion house.

The full-length sable coat is silverised to look as though it had been cast in moonlight using “a unique and contemporary luminous metallic effect to the fur, while maintaining its softness.”

The final price of the coat has not yet been confirmed and will change depending on the exact specifications of customer orders, but Fendi say it will cost “up to R1 million”, as first reported by the Financial Times”, possibly making it the most expensive coat ever retailed.

Would you buy a fur coat?
