Our customer evening takes us back in time

On Thursday 7 February the 2nd Take team held its first ever customer evening at our store in Sea Point to debut some new fashion arrivals and to treat some of our loyal, and trendy, customers.

The store was transformed into a catwalk for the evening as our models took us back in time, rocking some looks inspired by the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘80s and ‘90s. Nicole Warr of Vintage Lifestyle magazine gave our guests the low-down on each look and spoke about each era and their impact and influence of the fashion industry today.

While customers were perusing the rails and enjoying wine sponsored by Groot Constantia Wine Estate and feasting on a sushi platter sponsored by Xiang Yuan Asian Restaurant in Sea Point, founder of 2nd Take, Bettina Berlep, had the opportunity to interview Nicole about the fashion trends from eras past.

We would like to extend a massive thank you to our other sponsors, All About You Skin and Body Care for donating nine eyelash tints and nine nail file and buff vouchers for our customers and a manicure and pedicure voucher for our raffles grand prize. Also included in the grand prize were two tickets to attend Kaapse Stories from the Mother City at Richard’s Restaurant valued at R800 and a R150 voucher for Clipinhair Hair Extensions, as well as mini-extensions for our guests’ goodie-bags.

Thanks also to our four gorgeous models who helped take us back to these four important fashion eras and to the hair and make-up artists who did such an awesome job in transforming them for the event. Lastly, a huge thank you to our customers for joining us on the night for a glass of wine and to celebrate these fashion eras with us!

This may have been the first customer evening, but it definitely won’t be the last! Those who were in attendance, be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos.
