Second-hand Designer Clothes at 2nd Take
Welcome to 2nd Take, the Home to exclusive second-hand designer clothes
How it all started
I am sure you can guess, that starting a used clothes store, specializing in international, second-hand designer clothes, had it’s origins in my home, to be more precise in my bedroom.
“I was trying to squeeze yet another pair of designer jeans into my already full cupboard, with much frustration. How could it be that I had no space and I only ever wore my two favourite pairs?
So, I stood looking at my overcrowded cupboard, with pairs of jeans that no longer fitted me and THAT designer dress – the one that looked so good on me in the shop and that I had never had the chance to wear. It was an impulsive buy and it still had the label on it. Brand new, never worn. Such a waste of money. Such a waste of space!
Chatting to my friends, it seemed I was not alone. They too had untold treasures and designer clothes that they hardly wore. We shared stories about buying clothes a size too small in the hope that we would lose those “three kilo’s” (We never did). Or the gifts we had received, but the colour was all wrong, or the fit wasn’t quite right. We all have experienced a similar scenario.
2nd Take started from the knowledge that there are many amazing fashion items tucked away in all our closets, which we are uncomfortable wearing or maybe will never wear. I decided that those beautiful designer clothes deserve a place in the light again and that they need to find a new home with someone, who will appreciate them and wear them.
I decided that we also deserve to shop at a place where we can find beautiful second-hand designer clothes, which suit us and won’t beak our bank account; and that is how 2nd Take was founded”
